Slow
EffectSlow is a Soft Crowd-Control effect that temporarily reduces an enemy's movement speed. By default it cuts movement speed to x0.5 for 5 seconds, on a 5 second cooldown per applier.
Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1), Salmon Sorcerer and Ice Mage all apply Slow. Because Soft Crowd-Control effects share their own cooldown bracket separate from Hard Crowd-Control tools like Stun, Slow can be layered onto enemies more frequently across a wave.
Details
How Slow works
Slow multiplies an enemy's movement speed by a factor, x0.5 by default, for a fixed duration of 5 seconds. It runs on a 5 second cooldown per applier, meaning the effect can be refreshed almost as soon as it expires if the applying unit is still in range.
Slow falls under Soft Crowd-Control, a category of Crowd-Control effects that primarily affect an enemy's movement along the track and that conflict with other Crowd-Control effects of the same type on reapplication.
Units that apply Slow
Slow is applied by Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1), Salmon Sorcerer and Ice Mage. Each of these units can define its own factor, duration and cooldown for Slow, which may differ from the listed defaults.
Why Slow matters for wave control
Because it directly reduces how far an enemy travels per second, Slow effectively extends the time other units on the field have to deal damage before that enemy reaches the end of the path. Stacking multiple Slow appliers on a lane compounds this effect for as long as their durations overlap.
FAQ
What does Slow do in Anime Expeditions?
Slow is a Soft Crowd-Control effect that reduces enemy movement speed for a set duration. By default it reduces speed to x0.5 for 5 seconds, with a 5 second cooldown per applier.
Which units apply Slow?
Salmon Sorcerer (Grade 1), Salmon Sorcerer and Ice Mage all apply Slow in the current client data.
How is Slow different from Stagger?
Slow reduces an enemy's movement speed for its duration, while Stagger, also a Soft Crowd-Control effect, instead interrupts the enemy's actions and briefly delays its movement rather than slowing it continuously.
Does Slow stack from multiple units?
Slow from separate applying units on the same enemy stacks independently, though Crowd-Control effects of the same type can conflict with each other on reapplication from the same source.
