Dawn
ModifierDawn is an Enemy Modifier that specifically targets the enemies spawned by Splitter or Summoner-type enemies rather than the spawning enemy itself. Any enemy created that way has its health reduced by 99% and its Shield capped at 5.
This effectively turns what would otherwise be a wave of tough spawned enemies into a swarm of fragile ones, shifting the challenge from raw damage output toward handling a higher number of low-health targets at once.

How Dawn works
Dawn only affects enemies that are spawned mid-fight by a Splitter or Summoner-type enemy, not the Splitter or Summoner itself. Those spawned enemies come in with 99% less health than they normally would, and their Shield stat is capped at 5 regardless of what it would otherwise be.
Because Dawn's reduction applies specifically to spawn sources, a stage with Dawn active can still feature a dangerous main enemy while its summoned adds are trivially easy to clear, which changes how a team should prioritize targets.
How to play around Dawn
With spawned enemies reduced to near-nothing in health, AoE damage becomes very efficient at clearing them in bulk, freeing up single-target damage to focus on the Splitter or Summoner enemy that is generating them.
FAQ
What does Dawn do in Anime Expeditions?
Dawn is an Enemy Modifier that reduces the health of enemies spawned by Splitter or Summoner-type enemies by 99% and caps their Shield at 5.
Does Dawn affect the Splitter or Summoner itself?
No, Dawn only weakens the enemies that Splitter or Summoner-type enemies spawn, not the spawning enemy's own stats.
What is the best way to deal with Dawn-affected spawns?
Since spawned enemies have almost no health under Dawn, AoE attacks clear them efficiently in groups, letting single-target damage focus on the main spawning enemy instead.
