Bleed
EffectBleed is one of four Damage-over-Time effects documented in Anime Expeditions' client data, alongside Burn, Austere Flames and Mana Burn. By default it deals 0.65x of the applying unit's damage across 6 ticks over 6 seconds, though each unit that applies Bleed can override those numbers with its own values.
Six units currently apply Bleed: Crimson (Brother), Crimson, Cursed Student (True Love), Cursed Student, Greed and Bounty Hunter. Because Damage-over-Time effects scale off the applying unit's own damage stat, a Bleed applier with a high damage stat turns Bleed into meaningful sustained damage even outside its main attack.
Details
How Bleed works
Bleed deals damage in ticks equal to a factor of the applicant unit's current damage stat, not a flat number. The default split is x0.65 total damage, delivered across 6 ticks over 6 seconds, meaning roughly one tick every second at base values.
Damage-over-Time effects like Bleed cannot stack on themselves from the same applier reapplying it, but separate units applying Bleed to the same enemy do stack independently, since each instance tracks its own source and duration.
Units that apply Bleed
Bleed is applied by Crimson (Brother), Crimson, Cursed Student (True Love), Cursed Student, Greed and Bounty Hunter. Every applier can specify its own Factor, Duration and Tick count that override the defaults listed above, so the exact damage a specific unit's Bleed deals is best checked on that unit's own page.
How to counter Bleed
Bleed matters most on longer stages where its ticking damage adds up across a full wave rather than in a single burst. Since it scales with the applying unit's damage stat, investing in a Bleed applier's damage output through Stat Potential, equipment or traits increases the effect's total payout as much as it increases the unit's direct attacks.
FAQ
What does Bleed do in Anime Expeditions?
Bleed is a Damage-over-Time status effect that deals a factor of the applying unit's damage across a set number of ticks over a fixed duration. By default it deals 0.65x damage across 6 ticks over 6 seconds.
Which units apply Bleed?

How long does Bleed last?
By default, Bleed lasts 6 seconds and deals its total damage across 6 ticks, but individual units that apply Bleed can set a different duration and tick count for their own version of the effect.
Can Bleed stack in Anime Expeditions?
Bleed from the same applier does not stack on itself, but Bleed applied by different units to the same enemy stacks independently, since each application tracks its own source, duration and remaining ticks.
