Quincy
The Quincy are VV: Ultimatum's mission-driven faction. Where Soul Reapers meditate toward Shikai and Hollows evolve toward Resurreccion, Quincy progression runs through the Wandenreich chain of command: from Level 25 (when every Quincy receives the Soldat Cap), you complete missions for the Lieutenant - opened with the L key - and report each one back for progression XP. Missions are graded 1-3 stars, and more stars means more progress.
The milestones tell the faction's story, and video documentation (July 2026) now tracks them as percentages: at ~25% the Lieutenant sends you after the Sanrei Glove - the Relic Keeper NPC beneath the Wandenreich's tallest tower sells the schematic for 300 Soul Tokens, and the craft takes a Broken Quincy Medallion, a Frost Alloy (craftable around level 45) and 2 Strange Essences. The medallion's documented source: the 'The Northern Army has started marching' world event in the Arctic Plains, where the rogue Quincy captain drops it - and the item is tradeable, so trading for one works too. At ~50% you are ordered to kill two bosses; at ~75% the glove's reiatsu drain pops a 'false Letzt' damage buff; at 100% comes the final mission against Securis in the Arctic Plains. Winning grants your Schrift - the Quincy letter-power - and removes the Sanrei Glove requirement for activating Letzt Stil, though creators report 2-3 more Lieutenant tasks are needed after the boss before the final dialogue completes it. One attributed conflict: older documentation lists a 'meditate 3-5 times at 70 Max Reiatsu' step, but release-era video guides show the glove reworked to drain reiatsu automatically while worn - roughly 10-15 drain-recharge cycles evolve your Spirit Weapon. The full walkthrough is on the How to Attain Letzt Stil page.
Quincy weapons are Spirit Weapons with a unique evolution system: once you have enough Letzt Stil progress, the Criticals of all Quincy weapons change. Eight weapon types are documented: Katana/Sword, Spear, Greatsword, Odachi/Longsword, Rapier, Hammer, Rifle and Club - the Rapier and Rifle being Quincy-exclusive entries among the faction lists.
Ten clans roll at character creation, and the Quincy table is the one where documentation includes explicit odds: Legendary 1%, Rare 9%, Uncommon 30%, Common 60%. At the top, Eisenhauer grants a metal arm (+3.0% Melee Defense, +5.0 Posture, +0.5% Hakuda DMG) and Kurosaki gives +2.0 Reiatsu, +2.0% Weapon DMG, +5.0 Shunpo Speed. The Rare tier is deep: Lloyd grants a cosmetic third eye, all Sensory passives free of cost, +5.0 Posture and +0.1 Max AP; Parnkgjas (+3.5% Kido Defense, +1.0% Melee Defense), Ishida (+2.0% Kido Damage, +5.0 Shunpo Stamina) and Haschwalth (+2.5% Kido DMG) fill it out. Uncommon offers Kraus (+1.5% Melee Defense, +1.0% Kido Defense) and Wernarr (+5.0 Health, +2.5% Posture Regen); Common holds Schulte (+5.0 Equipment Load) and Richter (+1.0% Weapon DMG, +2.5 Posture).
The Quincy wardrobe is the largest of the three factions: 18 clothing sets, each priced at 300 Tokens.

Letzt Stil progression at a glance
Press L to take missions from the Lieutenant and report each finished task back for progression XP; star ratings (1-3) scale the progress earned. Tasks run on a roughly 5-minute cooldown, and progress only banks when you press L and choose 'progress report' - the next task's cooldown starts after reporting (video-documented, July 2026). Creator task-priority strategy: complete-mission tasks first (a medium Wandenreich mission is the reliable pick), then Menos elimination (medium missions always spawn a Menos), then hollow elimination; other task types are rated time-wasters.
Milestone order by progress percentage: 25% - Sanrei Glove (schematic purchase and craft); 50% - kill two bosses; 75% - the glove's automatic reiatsu drain unlocks a 'false Letzt' damage-buff transformation (the real Letzt Stil comes later); 100% - the Securis fight in the Arctic Plains. Securis has two phases with a documented mercy rule: dying in phase 1 revives you with a small HP pack, dying in phase 2 is final. Defeating him grants your Schrift and removes the glove requirement for Letzt Stil - after 2-3 wrap-up tasks ending in the Lieutenant's final 'turn your foes to ash' dialogue.
The Lieutenant's dialogue is a progress tracker (video-documented)
The Lieutenant's greeting tracks your hidden progression across five documented phases, quoted from video documentation (July 2026) and cross-confirmed by two creators: 'Pitiful. You have a long way to go.' > 'The potential for improvement is there, just not the progress.' > 'You're actually making progress. You might even make rank one day.' > 'You are close to [the power] of the king.' > 'You have fully understood this power. You no longer require the glove to reach it. Turn your foes to ash.' If you are unsure where you stand between the percentage milestones, the greeting is the tell.

Community notes (Discord)
Quincy Kido tree (community-documented, June 2026): the racial QKido tree runs two paths (a "bottom" path and a bow path). Community documentation describes its only passive as 7.5% Reishi regen, no ragdoll tools of its own, and abilities including Beurteilung - a giant blue Kido sword dropped on the target, cast via a two-handed sword stab into the ground - and Soulen (fire). Creator tier lists rate Kido-Quincy low, noting few players run it. Not official; pending in-game verification.
FAQ
How do Quincy unlock their Schrift?
By completing Lieutenant tasks from Level 25 through the percentage milestones: craft the Sanrei Glove (~25%), kill two bosses (~50%), let the glove's automatic reiatsu drain evolve your Spirit Weapon and pop the false Letzt (~75%), then defeat Securis in the Arctic Plains (100%). Securis revives phase-1 deaths with a small HP pack - phase-2 deaths are final - and 2-3 more tasks after the boss complete the Schrift (video-documented, July 2026).
What are the Quincy clan odds?
Legendary 1% (Eisenhauer, Kurosaki), Rare 9% (Lloyd, Parnkgjas, Ishida, Haschwalth), Uncommon 30% (Kraus, Wernarr) and Common 60% (Schulte, Richter).
What weapons do Quincy use?
Eight documented Spirit Weapon types - Katana/Sword, Spear, Greatsword, Odachi/Longsword, Rapier, Hammer, Rifle and Club - whose Criticals all change once you reach enough Letzt Stil progress.
How does the community rate Quincy in the current meta?
Community-documented balance sentiment (June 2026, not official): multiple heavily-starred Discord posts (roughly 200-700 stars) call Quincy the strongest PvP faction, pointing at evolved Spirit Weapon criticals (rapier, greatsword, club) and Blut Arterie damage buffs; creator videos similarly call the Iron Schrift with Blut Arterie "busted".
Can you party with players from other factions?
Community-documented: no - parties are faction-locked. Allowing cross-faction parties was a 347-star community request (June 2026), so this may change.
