How to Attain Letzt Stil

Work through Lieutenant missions and report each one. Upon completing enough missions he asks you to obtain the Sanrei Glove: an NPC in the Wandenreich sells the recipe for 300 Soul Tokens, and crafting it requires a Broken Quincy Medallion, a Frost Alloy and 2 Strange Essences. Community showcase footage places the Strange Essences at a cave reached through a waterfall near the Quincy spawn village, farmed as a chance drop from the mobs inside. You can equip the Sanrei Glove at any time - doing so changes your L key to meditation.

Conflicting community report: one video shows the craft additionally requiring a Great Soul Essence and 2 Broken Quincy Medallions rather than 1 - not yet reconciled with the recipe above, so treat both versions as pending in-game verification.

After more missions, the Lieutenant congratulates you and grants your Evolved Spirit Weapon - the evolution that changes your Quincy weapon's Criticals. Community showcase footage documents this milestone as a scripted 1-on-1 duel against an NPC named Weasel Jung in the Arctic Plains, won automatically once triggered. At the next milestone he tells you to meditate with the Sanrei Glove; community documentation puts this at about 3-5 meditations at 70 Max Reiatsu, though the same footage also shows an explicit 'meditate more' prompt still appearing even with the glove equipped, which sits closer to the meditation-required version of this milestone than the automatic-drain version documented elsewhere.

At the final milestone, the Lieutenant commands you to travel to the Arctic Plains and fight Securis. Defeating Securis grants your Schrift - the Quincy letter-power - and removes your reliance on the Sanrei Glove to activate Letzt Stil. From that point the awakened mode is yours without the equipment condition.
