Hollow Traits
Traits are visible changes to your hollow - wings, horns, tails, iron skin - each carrying a package of stats or special abilities. They drop as you defeat other hollows across your progression, they show up on your body, and they carry through to your Resurreccion. The single most important rule is easy to miss: hollow traits are only active in Resurreccion as an Arrancar. Outside Res, they are cosmetic history.
How many you can hold depends on your evolution stage. The traits card puts it at 3 at base stage and 4 total as a Vasto Lorde; the evolution guide frames the same ceiling by evolution point - a Menoscar keeps 2, an Adjucar 3, a Vastocar 4. You can also refuse a trait you do not want, which is the backbone of trait hunting: farm, refuse, repeat until the set is right, because traits are locked once you evolve into an Arrancar.
Thirteen traits are documented, and they cluster into archetypes. Cero specialists pick from Horns (+35% cero width, +10% length), Tailbone (+20% cero damage but a 25% thinner 'laser' cero) and Back Scales (12% faster charge, +45s Res duration, -5% cero damage). Bruisers look at Iron Skin, Exoskeleton, Giant and Dense Muscles; skirmishers at Wings, Skinny and Deadly Claws; and utility players at Innocuous Presence, which hides your name and reiatsu signature entirely. The full stat lines are listed below - community documentation notes the list may be incomplete and asks players to report missing traits in the vvinfo server.

Cap conflict recorded: a 184-star starboard post ('Hollow Trait Info') states hollows hold up to 3 traits, or 5 as a Vasto Lorde, and adds that you cannot remove your mask (go Arrancar) while a trait slot is empty; wiki and video sources put the ceiling at 4 as Vasto Lorde (2 Menoscar / 3 Adjucar). The post may reflect an older patch - its per-trait stats match the documented list exactly. Both cap versions kept pending verification.
Sourcing conflict on when hollow traits are active - two versions recorded, not resolved: video documentation (cited on the Arrancars & Hollows page) states traits work in hollow form or while Resurreccion is popped, while the Hollow Traits page and a 604-star Discord post (which asks for traits to be made active in hollow form, implying they currently are not) support the Res-only version. Both versions are kept with attribution (video-documented vs community report); pending in-game verification.
