Cosmetics
Cosmetics in VV: Ultimatum personalize how your character sounds, glows, kills and carries a blade. The community board tracks seven categories: Aura Themes, Reiatsu Colors, Weapon Skins, Clan Cosmetics, Resurreccion Forms, Execution Essences and Sheathe Models. Two of these - aura themes and execution essences - have full written documentation; the rest are currently catalogued as image galleries or placeholders awaiting details.
Aura themes are the marquee cosmetic: 45 music tracks (covers and originals from Bleach, Dark Souls, Berserk, Jujutsu Kaisen, Metal Gear Rising, Resident Evil and more) that play when your aura is active. Your theme is randomized per character slot and rerolls on wipe, and the theme itself unlocks exclusively through purchasing the Spiritual Potential upgrade - even though you can already flare your aura at low levels through bladebreaks and other sources.
Execution essences are consumables that swap your execution animation. They sell in the animation section of the store for 600 Soul Tokens, with 12 currently obtainable across three weighted rarities: Rare at 1%, Uncommon at 18% and Common at 81%. Reiatsu colors have no board write-up yet, but Reiatsu Color Tokens already exist in the economy - the 'Seen Beyond' gauntlet pays out three of them - confirming recoloring is a token-driven system.

Aura themes: how they work
Every character slot rolls one aura theme at random, and a wipe rerolls it - you cannot pick your track. The theme only becomes yours to hear by buying the Spiritual Potential upgrade; activating aura early through bladebreaks and similar sources does not unlock the music. Themes are named in the format 'Song Name - Cover Artist/Franchise'.

Execution essences: full roster
Rare (1% odds): True Power, Not Impressed, Head Crush.
Uncommon (18% odds): Shoulder Cleave, Glory Kill, Sword Saint, Windpipe Kick, Empire Impale.

Each essence is a consumable purchased for 600 Soul Tokens in the store's animation section; the rarity percentages are the documented roll odds when buying.
Undocumented categories
Reiatsu Colors, Weapon Skins and Clan Cosmetics exist as board entries without descriptions, and Resurreccion Forms and Sheathe Models are image-only galleries. The strongest cross-reference so far: the Seen Beyond gauntlet title rewards 3 Reiatsu Color Tokens, so reiatsu recoloring is a live, token-gated system even though its interface is not yet written up. This page will be expanded as the community fills these categories in.
Community notes (Discord)
Community note (starboard, 185 stars): your Resurreccion form appearance is determined by choices made during hollow progression (made blind, before seeing the result) and there is currently no way to re-customize it afterwards. Pending verification.
Community-documented (starboard post, June 2026): Resurreccion currently stands out as the only mode with unique armor visuals - Shikai and Letzt Stil awakening do not change your character's clothing.
FAQ
Can you choose your aura theme in VV: Ultimatum?
No - the theme is randomized per character slot and rerolls when the slot is wiped. Unlocking the theme at all requires purchasing the Spiritual Potential upgrade, even though aura activation itself is possible at low levels via bladebreaks and other sources.
How do you change your execution animation?
Buy an Execution Essence from the animation section of the store for 600 Soul Tokens. It is a consumable that rolls one of 12 obtainable animations at weighted odds: 1% Rare, 18% Uncommon, 81% Common.
How do you change your reiatsu color?
The system is not yet documented on the community board, but Reiatsu Color Tokens are confirmed items - the Seen Beyond gauntlet awards three - so recoloring works through tokens rather than a free menu option.
