Junichiro
Junichiro is a weathered ronin who travels with nothing but his swords and a drinking gourd. Community documentation describes his swordsmanship as nearly unmatched, and the fight reflects it: a fast, parry-focused duel that escalates once you push him far enough.
He spawns in Hueco Mundo next to Emeki, the quest giver for Wendigos, on the even-hour schedule - every even hour at :20 EST (2:20, 4:20, and so on). His base kit mixes light pokes with devastating posture pressure: Blade Slash and Blade Flourish deal minor damage, but Precision Slicer is a fast triple strike that crumples with extremely high posture damage, Piercing Draw bypasses block entirely and ragdolls, and Tempest Winds sends out a whirlwind projectile. He can also drink from his gourd to restore up to 5 bars of HP and posture, so sustained pressure matters.
At 9 bars remaining (60% of his HP) he enters his second phase, igniting his blade so his attacks carry fire damage and unlocking an execute move - a parryable, dodgeable guardbreak with extremely high damage. Parrying Piercing Draw or the execute staggers him, opening a punish window.
His full documented drop pool is the Battle-Damaged Haori body equipment, the Precision Slicer skill essence, the Drinking Gourd misc equipment, the Flawless Swordsman charm and the Cape Throw emote, and each kill also drops 9 chests.

Moveset
Blade Slash and Blade Flourish are his bread-and-butter strings: blockable, parryable and dodgeable with minor damage and posture damage, with Flourish adding knockback. Precision Slicer is the standout threat - a fast triple strike with extremely high posture damage and high damage that crumples on hit. Piercing Draw sends out rippling shockwaves that bypass block (but can be parried) with extremely high posture damage, medium damage and a ragdoll; parrying it staggers Junichiro. Tempest Winds fires a whirlwind projectile with extremely high posture damage and knockback.
Gourd Replenish is his sustain tool: he drinks from his gourd to heal up to 5 bars of HP and posture. Interrupting his rhythm and keeping up posture pressure limits how much value he gets from it.
Second phase
When brought down to 9 bars (60% HP), Junichiro stops holding back and ignites his blade. His attacks become imbued with fire damage and he gains one new move - an execute ('Now, you're charcoal.') that is parryable and dodgeable but guardbreaks, deals extremely high damage, knocks back and can finish low-health targets. Parrying it staggers him. His battle theme also changes for the phase.
Rewards
Direct drops: the Battle-Damaged Haori (body equipment), the Precision Slicer skill essence, the Drinking Gourd (misc equipment), the Flawless Swordsman charm and the Cape Throw emote. Each kill also drops 9 chests.
Fight tips
His attack pattern runs 3-4 attacks per string; when a string ends with Precision Slicer, you can always land 5 M1s before he recovers.
The sweeping execute ('Now, you're charcoal.') can be defended by dashing and then parrying near the end of the sweep.
Fight him one player at a time where possible - he can parry and attack simultaneously, and with multiple attackers his animations get visually hidden, making reads much harder.

FAQ
Where does Junichiro spawn?
In Hueco Mundo, beside Emeki, the quest giver for Wendigos. He spawns every even hour at :20 EST (2:20, 4:20, and so on).
What does Junichiro drop?
Documented drops are the Battle-Damaged Haori, the Precision Slicer skill essence, the Drinking Gourd, the Flawless Swordsman charm and the Cape Throw emote, plus 9 chests per kill.
Can Junichiro heal during the fight?
Yes - his Gourd Replenish move restores up to 5 bars of his HP and posture, so avoid giving him free downtime.
Why did Junichiro suddenly heal mid-fight?
Community starboard posts (143 and 406 stars) report that players who die during the fight give the boss health packs - low-contribution deaths (and trolling groups feeding kills during phase 2) can visibly restore his HP, since the fight is not instanced.
