Drinking Gourd

Legendary
verified 2026-07-09 · VV: Ultimatum equipment

The Drinking Gourd is a Legendary misc-slot equipment piece in VV: Ultimatum granting +8 Max Reiatsu and +2% Kido Defense, obtained as a direct drop from Junichiro.

The Drinking Gourd is a Legendary misc-slot piece built for casters who want a bigger tank - literally and figuratively. Its +8 Max Reiatsu is the largest reiatsu roll documented on any misc equipment, and the +2% Kido Defense adds resistance against enemy spellwork. There is no offense on the item at all; its job is to let you cast more and eat less kido damage while doing it.

It drops directly from Junichiro, the same boss who yields the Legendary Battle-Damaged Haori for the body slot. That makes Junichiro one of the more rewarding Legendary farms documented: two top-tier pieces in two different slots from a single fight. As with other boss drops, community documentation records no drop rate, so acquisition is repetition and luck. No level requirement or weight is recorded either.

For reiatsu-hungry builds, the gourd stacks naturally with body pieces like the Umbral Drapes (+8 Max Reiatsu) or Regal Frosted Cape (+6) - a full loadout can assemble a very deep energy pool. Like all equipment it can roll one of the 13 modifiers; a Voluminous roll (+7% Max Reiatsu) doubles down on its identity. A Tailor rerolls modifiers for 400-500 Soul Tokens.
