Mantis
The Mantis is one of the aberrant hollows - the cero-using class that trainer quests like Karate specifically send players to hunt. It sits at low-medium health and low-medium damage, but its kit demands more respect than the numbers suggest because of one move: Grab, which is documented as unparryable and unblockable. Only a dodge saves you, and although the grab itself deals low damage, being caught takes control away from you.
Its other two moves are honest. Double Slash is the bread-and-butter string - parryable, blockable and dodgeable with low damage but medium posture damage, so blocking it repeatedly is a slow loss. The Cero is also parryable, blockable and dodgeable, hitting for low-medium damage and medium posture damage at range.
The confirmed drop is the Mantis Thorax, a hollow part used in crafting. Community documentation does not pin down the Mantis's spawn zone; cross-referenced quest text groups it with the Scorpion as an 'aberrant hollow' kill target, which is the clearest signal of where and why you will be fighting them.
