Mantis Thorax

The Mantis Thorax follows VV: Ultimatum's standard monster-part pattern: kill a Mantis-type Hollow, and its thorax has a chance to drop as a harvestable material. It is droppable and bankable like other Hollow parts, so it moves freely between characters and storage.

What sets it apart within the Common tier is price. At a sell value of 18, the thorax is worth roughly double most comparable Hollow drops - Electric Cores and Scorpion Venom sell for 8, Penguin Flippers for 10, Monster Irises for 12. If you are clearing Mantis-type Hollows anyway, the thoraxes are one of the better vendor returns in the parts category.

Crafting uses are the open question. The community documentation for this item is explicitly marked in-progress and lists no recipes yet, and wider materials coverage confirms only the drop source. Until a recipe surfaces, the safe play mirrors other undocumented parts: keep a small banked stack in case a craft appears, and sell the overflow. Given that sibling materials like Scorpion Venom turned out to gate important recipes (the Respirator), assuming zero future use would be premature. This page will be updated as uses are verified.
