Centipede
The Centipede is one of the early farming hollows: low health, low damage, and a simple three-move kit that new players can learn to parry safely. Its Roar is parryable and blockable with low damage and low posture damage, and its Swipe is a basic m1 string that is parryable, blockable and dodgeable with the same low numbers.
The one move that changes your positioning is Tunnel - the Centipede burrows and re-emerges, dealing low damage. It cannot be parried or blocked according to the documented properties, only dodged, so watch the ground when it disappears and sidestep the emergence rather than holding block.
Its confirmed drop is the Centipede Antennae, one of the hollow parts used in crafting and shrine trades, making Centipedes a reasonable target when a recipe calls for that part. Community documentation does not record a specific spawn zone or respawn timer for the Centipede, so its exact habitat remains unverified.

Community notes (Discord)
Community note (starboard, 599 stars): the yellow-kanji indicator for the Centipede's burrowing attack appears when it digs down rather than when the strike actually lands, so time your dodge off the re-emergence, not the kanji. Pending verification.
