Bat

verified 2026-07-09 · VV: Ultimatum enemies

The Bat is a low-tier cave hollow in VV: Ultimatum that drops Bat Wings - the target of the 'Bats, Bats, Bats!' quest - and attacks with Swoop and Acid Spit.

The Bat is a low health, low damage hollow that, per the community's quest documentation, can typically be found in cave environments. It is the designated target of the level 4+ quest 'Bats, Bats, Bats!', in which Keiun of Sweetwater Pass asks you to bring back 4 Bat Wings - so most players meet their first Bat in the caves around that early questing region.

Its kit is minimal and fully counterable: Swoop is a diving strike and Acid Spit a ranged glob, and both are parryable, blockable and dodgeable with low damage and low posture damage. The main practical annoyance is that Bats fly, so wide swings and ranged pokes land more reliably than grounded strings.

The confirmed drop is the Bat Wing, which doubles as both a hollow part and the quest item Keiun wants. If wings feel slow to drop, clearing several cave spawns per lap is the documented approach - the quest needs four.
