The Swamp

verified 2026-07-09 · VV: Ultimatum locations & npcs

The Swamp is a hostile wetland zone in VV: Ultimatum whose documented enemy roster includes Toads, Crocodiles, Marsh Turtles, the Crocodile King and Shamballa.

The Swamp's community card is a straight enemy manifest, and that roster defines the zone: Toads (medium health, poison spit), Crocodiles (medium health, defense-ignoring Chew), Marsh Turtles (medium-high health tanks with a defensive Shell stance), plus two bosses - The Crocodile King and Shamballa.

The Crocodile King, Scourge of the Marsh, rules the area from Swamp King's Retreat, a throne site documented as being 'inside of the marsh' with a spawn cooldown of roughly 5 minutes; defeating him awards the King of the Swamp title (100 Soul Tokens, Clan Token) and the Strength Extract needed for the Refund Shrine. Shamballa is the second listed boss, with its own card elsewhere on the board.

The swamp and marsh terms bleed into each other across the documentation - equipment notes state that entering The Marsh requires the craftable Respirator (+100% Toxic Fumes Resistance), which is the practical preparation note for hunting this roster. Farming-wise, the zone's mobs pay out Toad Eyes, Crocodile Scales and Turtle Shells for crafting.
