Frosted Steel Pauldrons

The Frosted Steel Pauldrons are an Uncommon body piece from the Northern Army boss lineup, dropping directly from Lord Nivis. Their three-stat spread - 1% Kido Damage, 1% Melee Defense and +6 Max Health - is a little of everything: some spell damage, some physical mitigation, and a health roll that is generous for the Uncommon tier. No single number stands out, but the whole is a well-rounded early body slot for casters who still take melee hits.

Lord Nivis is one of three documented Northern Army bosses (alongside Frigus and Evocator), and his loot table is unusually rich for body equipment: he also drops the Regal Frosted Cape, while his fellow bosses drop the Wide and Tattered Frosted Capes and any of the three can drop the Northern War Skirt. Farming this boss group can therefore fill several slots at once.

Community documentation records no drop rate, level requirement or weight for the pauldrons. As with all equipment, they can roll one of the 13 modifiers - and given the split stat line, almost any roll (Vibrant health, Sturdy melee defense, Precise kido damage) reinforces something the item already does.
