Equipment Modifiers
Equipment Modifiers are VV: Ultimatum's affix system for gear. Any equipment piece - head, face, body, misc or utility - can be found already modified, or force-modified using modifier stones. Each modifier is a named prefix attached to the item (a "Sturdy" cape, a "Voluminous" mantle) that adds one bonus stat on top of the item's base line, and its name appears in the item's tooltip title.
There are 13 modifiers in total, each tied to one stat: Ghostly (11% Kido Defense), Steadfast (11% Max Posture), Sturdy (11% Melee Defense), Spacious (11% Equipment Load), Quick (7% Posture Regen), Swift (7% Shunpo Speed), Tireless (7% Shunpo Stamina), Voluminous (7% Max Reiatsu), Deadly (5% Weapon Damage), Precise (5% Kido Damage), Vibrant (4% Max Health) and Menacing (3% Hakuda Damage). The thirteenth, Celestial, is the jackpot roll: 2% to a whole spread at once - Max Reiatsu, Max Health, Kido Defense, Melee Defense and Posture Regen.
Because modifier percentages often dwarf base item stats (a Deadly roll's 5% Weapon Damage exceeds any base weapon damage line documented on body or misc equipment), chasing the right modifier matters as much as chasing the right item. Unwanted rolls are not permanent: a Tailor rerolls an item's modifier for 400-500 Soul Tokens. Where modifier stones themselves are obtained is not documented in the community source.

FAQ
How do you change an equipment modifier?
Pay a Tailor 400-500 Soul Tokens to reroll it, or force-modify the item with modifier stones.
Which equipment modifier is best?
It depends on the build, but Celestial is the rarest-feeling roll (2% to five stats at once), while Deadly (5% Weapon Damage), Precise (5% Kido Damage) and Menacing (3% Hakuda Damage) are the damage picks - each larger than most base stat lines on equipment.
