Tooth & Nail is a one-line survival clause - "Hang on! It isn't over yet..." If an attack is about to kill you, you lose all of your health down to 5% instead of dying. The lethal hit still lands, still hurts, but the floor holds at 5% and the fight continues.

Cheat-death effects are premium tools in any PvP game because they specifically defeat burst - the opponent who budgets exactly enough damage to kill you finds their calculation off by one final sliver. That forces overcommitment or a second window, and either buys you time to heal, run, or reverse. The tooltip lists no cooldown, though how often it can trigger is not otherwise detailed in current documentation.

It pairs naturally with the game's deep low-HP archetype: landing at 5% activates Struggler's Spirit's damage reduction, Presence of Mind's haste, and The Incapable's missing-HP output - a synergy family the charm roster clearly builds toward, though no combinations are formally documented.
