Close and Personal
Tier 2Close and Personal is one of the simplest trades in the Tier 2 roster: +5% weapon/hakuda damage, -2% damage vulnerability (you take 2% more damage). The flavor line - "Don't run!" - says where the charm wants you: in melee range, converting the damage edge into faster kills before the added fragility matters.
The buff covers both weapon damage and hakuda (hand-to-hand) damage, making it equally at home in sword builds and martial-arts builds - but it does nothing for kido, whose users should look at its ranged twin, Ranged Warrior, which offers 6% kido/ranged damage for a slightly larger 3% vulnerability. The two charms bracket the same design: a modest unconditional damage boost priced in survivability.
Because both numbers are always on, evaluation is straightforward: if your build ends fights quickly at close range, the 5% compounds with everything else you stack; if fights go long, the 2% extra damage taken compounds against you instead. It requires Level 10 and weighs 1 wt.; its zone and specific source are not documented in current community documentation.
