Act 2 is Mythfall's largest documented act - 50 scripted sub-stages spanning the town hub, mission-board and raid/infiltration quest chains, the Syndicate Camp questline and the level-40 gate into the Syndicate Hideout dungeon. It also hosts 3 of the game's 18 extracted checkpoints.

Act 2's 50 sub-stages mix numbered main quests with side chains: an escort quest, four mission-board quests (act_2_quest_mb1/2/3/5), seven infiltration quests (inf1-inf7), four raid quests (raid1-4) and four ambush quests (amb1-4). Hub activities recur throughout - taking missions at the Adventurers' Guild, forging gear at the Blacksmith, buying gear at the Vendor Shop, and repeated 'go to the Town Entrance, talk to Ronan' loops that gate progress.

3 of Mythfall's 18 extracted checkpoints (ids 15-17) target Act 2 sub-stages: act_2_quest_1, act_2_quest_3 and act_2_quest_4. Oddly, their hint text labels them 'Act 1 Save Point 1', 'Act 1 Save Point 2' and 'Act 2 Save Point' respectively - a mismatch between the checkpoint's hint label and the stage_id's actual Act grouping that is preserved here as extracted rather than silently corrected.

Sub-stage flow

Town-loop quests: go to / talk to Ronan at the Town Entrance, go to the Village Chief's House, go to the Vendor Shop, forge a new weapon at the Blacksmith.

Side-content quests: mission-board (mb1/2/3/5), infiltration (inf1-7), raid (raid1-4) and ambush (amb1-4) chains, plus a standalone escort quest.

Checkpoint 15 - Act 2 Save Point 1 (Go To The Town quest start)

Stage: act_2_quest_1. Heals the player, force-equips gear, sets the 'island_scenery' track, and swaps into act_2_quest_1. The checkpoint's own hint text calls this 'Act 1 Save Point 1' despite the act_2_quest_1 stage_id.

Checkpoint 16 - Act 2 Save Point 2 (before entering town)

Stage: act_2_quest_3. Same heal / equip / 'island_scenery' pattern as checkpoint 15, swapping into act_2_quest_3. Hint text again reads 'Act 1 Save Point 2'.

Checkpoint 17 - Act 2 Save Point (Blacksmith and Vendor Shop start)

Stage: act_2_quest_4. Same heal / equip / 'island_scenery' pattern, swapping into act_2_quest_4. This is the one checkpoint of the three whose hint label correctly says 'Act 2 Save Point'.
