A Puppet's Heart

A Puppet's Heart is a Unit Trial: a solo instance built specifically around evolving Puppet. The stage sits inside the Fairy King Forest Story Map and pits the player's preset team against a scripted Fairy King Forest enemy roster instead of using the map's normal wave list.

Because it is a trial and not a farmable map act, the reward is fixed rather than random. Clearing the stage once awards Puppet Heart, and there is no rerun-for-currency loop, the trial's purpose is unlocking the evolution, not grinding materials.

The team is fixed by the trial: it cannot be replaced, retraited, or rerolled. Puppet (Telekinetic) leads the front slot equipped with Calamity's Eye and Three Swords From Hell, giving it a heavy Damage-and-Range profile through its Marionette's Gaze and Puppet Creation passives. Lady Giant (Envy), Greed, Salmon Sorcerer, Ice Mage, and Stone Alchemist fill the remaining slots. Every unit is level 50 and traitless.

The stage runs a stacked modifier set: Traitless, Armored, Commander, and Tank on enemies, plus elemental multipliers of Magical 0.9x (weak), Terra 1.4x (strong), and Light 1.5x (strong). Because the preset team leans on Puppet's Psychic and Light-adjacent output, those multipliers work in the player's favor if placement keeps damage focused on the tanks and armored spawns.

The Fairy King Forest enemy list for this trial covers Piety (the Secret-tier boss spawn), Red Demon (Elite), Fairy, and Knight. Piety is the priority target and pairs badly with the Commander and Tank modifiers active on the stage, so Puppet (Telekinetic) should focus it early with Marionette's Gaze to force the incoming damage multiplier onto the biggest threat.

Red Demon (Elite) is the second priority and benefits from being pulled into Calamity's Eye range as soon as it spawns. Fairy and Knight fill the filler waves and are best handled by Salmon Sorcerer and Ice Mage's ranged pressure, keeping Stone Alchemist and Greed to soak the front line. Because the preset team is unchangeable, the main lever the player controls is placement order and skill timing rather than gear or level.

Clearing A Puppet's Heart awards Puppet Heart, the unique item required to evolve Puppet into Puppet (Telekinetic). Puppet Heart is spent inside the evolution menu alongside the recipe's standard Sprite and Gold cost, and cannot be reused for any other unit's evolution.

The evolved form, Puppet (Telekinetic), extends the base unit's cap by 2 additional tiers (from T6 up to T8) and grants a brand new Puppet Creation passive that summons a Doll in front of enemies killed while marked. Because Puppet is a Mythic-rarity Psychic pull off the Standard banner and Mini banner, most players who own it treat this trial as the priority evolution gate once their roster can support the fixed team's playstyle.
