8th's Sword

8th's Sword drops from clearing Way of the Strongest, the Evolution Quest tied to the 8th Sword unit. Way of the Strongest is a solo trial with a fixed preset team built around 8th Sword itself, so you do not need to bring your own roster or gear into it, and the drop is guaranteed on a successful clear rather than tied to a random roll.

The trial is the only in-game source for this material listed on the item's own page. There is no crafting recipe, banner, and no shop entry: if you want to evolve 8th Sword, running the Evolution Quest is the required step.

8th's Sword is a one-purpose item. It is consumed as the unique unlock ingredient in the 8th Sword to 8th Sword (Berserk) evolution recipe, sitting alongside the standard Sprite and Gold costs that every Anime Expeditions evolution asks for.

The evolved form, 8th Sword (Berserk), extends the base unit's cap by 2 additional tiers (from T8 up to T10) and adds two new passives on top of Demonic Presence and Savage Rebound. Because 8th Sword is a Secret-rarity Physical damage carry, most rosters that own the unit will want this item as soon as the trial becomes clearable.

Despite showing up under the Equipment category in the wiki grid and in the game's own item pages, 8th's Sword does not go into a unit's equipment slot and does not affect Damage, Range, or SPA. It behaves like other unit-specific evolution items such as Holy Pendant and Puppet Heart: an inventory-only material that gets spent inside the evolution menu.

This means 8th's Sword cannot be equipped, rerolled, or locked with Equipment Lock. If it appears in a build guide, it is always as part of an evolution recipe rather than a slot recommendation.
