Mini Banner
Mini Banner mirrors the Standard Banner's cost and pity structure but swaps its whole lineup twice as often, changing every 30 minutes instead of every hour. Unlike Standard Banner, no rarity is flagged as featured here - the entire Epic-through-Mythic pool simply rotates faster, which makes Mini Banner the better option when you are hunting a specific unit that is not currently showing up on Standard.
There is no Secret rarity on Mini Banner. Its rate table stops at Mythic, so the appeal is entirely about catching a wanted unit during its rotation window rather than chasing the game's rarest rarity.
Because Mini Banner tracks its own pity counters separately from Standard Banner, progress made here does not carry over. Players who split Gems between both banners are effectively running two independent pity clocks at once.

Pull strategy
Mini Banner rewards watching the rotation rather than pulling on a schedule. Since the whole pool refreshes every half hour, the smartest approach is to check what is currently available and only commit Gems when a unit you actually want is in the lineup.
Because rates and pity match Standard Banner exactly, there is no mechanical reason to prefer Mini Banner over Standard when both currently offer units you like - the deciding factor is purely which banner's current rotation has your target.
Should you pull?
Mini Banner is best treated as a secondary banner: use it to snipe a specific unit during its rotation window, but default to Standard Banner for general Gem spending since Standard also carries a chance at Secret-rarity units that Mini Banner does not offer.
If you are close to Mythic or Legendary pity on Mini Banner specifically, it is worth finishing that banner's pity before switching Gem spending elsewhere, since the two banners' counters do not share progress.
FAQ
Is Mini Banner better than Standard Banner?
They share identical costs, rates and pity thresholds for Mythic and Legendary. Mini Banner's advantage is its faster half-hour rotation; Standard Banner's advantage is that it also offers Secret-rarity units, which Mini Banner does not.
Does Mini Banner have Secret units?
No. Mini Banner's rate table only goes up to Mythic - Secret-rarity units are exclusive to Standard Banner.
How often does Mini Banner rotate?
Its unit pool changes every 30 minutes, twice as often as Standard Banner's hourly rotation.
Does pity carry over between Standard Banner and Mini Banner?
No. Each banner tracks its own Mythic and Legendary pity counters independently based on the game's banner data.
