Albrecht's Mission

Albrecht's Mission is the bluntest quest in the early game: Albrecht the Terrible is asking for a fight. You obtain it simply by talking to Albrecht the Terrible for the first time, and its single objective is Fight Albrecht (X/1).

The documented note is what makes it painless - the objective is complete after winning or losing against Albrecht. New players at level 0 are not expected to actually beat him; you just have to take the fight. Cross-referenced title documentation adds a consolation twist: losing to Albrecht the Terrible in Fort Adams awards 'The Terrible' title, which comes with Prayer Beads.

Albrecht himself resurfaces much later in endgame content - the Gauntlet's 'The Terrible' boss-rush chain pits you against Albrecht, then three of him at once, then 'Supreme Albrect, The Atrocious'. Direct rewards for this starter quest are not documented beyond the loss-title path.
