Wraith Helm

The Wraith Helm is the strongest pure-defense head item documented in the Rare tier. Its +2% Melee Defense matches the Legendary King's Crown's defensive line exactly, and the +5 Max Health on top makes it a clean pick for any build that wants to survive melee trades - no offensive stats, no conditions, just mitigation and health.

Compared with its tier-mate the Wolfman's Helm (+0.75% Melee Defense, +3 Max Health), the Wraith Helm is a straight upgrade in both lines, so there is little reason to keep the lesser helm once this one drops. Community documentation does not record the Wraith Helm's source, level requirement or equipment load; its Face-slot counterpart, the Wraith Mask, is documented as appearing in chests from The Marsh onward, which hints at a similar origin, but that remains unconfirmed for the helm itself.

Like all equipment it can roll one of 13 modifiers - Sturdy (Melee Defense) or Vibrant (Max Health) are the on-theme rolls, and Ghostly (Kido Defense) patches its one gap, spell mitigation. A Tailor rerolls unwanted modifiers for 400-500 Soul Tokens.
