The Thunderbolt

Uncommon (30.0%)
verified 2026-07-11 · VV: Ultimatum elements

The Thunderbolt is an Uncommon Quincy element (Schrift) in VV: Ultimatum, rolled from the 30.0% bracket, built around throwing Thunder Spears and a Conductivity meter that grows as you fight.

The Thunderbolt is a straightforward but scaling lightning Schrift. Thunder Spear (Ctrl + M1) forms a spear of thunder in your right hand and hurls it forward - a clean ranged poke that later upgrades turn into a rushdown starter. Community documentation notes its showcase footage was recorded using the Dragon Thunder variant, so visuals may differ from the base element.

The Letzt Stil passive is Conductivity: fighting opponents builds the meter, which increases the damage of your skills and switches on certain upgrades. Electric Blitz (Ctrl + M2) surrounds you with electricity and sends you rushing forward, shocking anyone in your path.

The upgrade lines make Conductivity the engine of the kit. At Reiatsu Efficiency Level 5 you periodically gain an empowered flash step while at or above 25% Conductivity, which itself feeds the meter, and Level 8 can restart your heart with your own lightning when in dire straits, allowing one extra hit. Damage upgrades make high-damaging skills apply shock and, at high Conductivity, add Electrocution - a high-intensity stun - when you land a Schrift skill. The Conductivity line enables rushdown off Thunder Spear at Level 2 and, at Level 8, lets you spend 25% of Conductivity to reduce a high burst of incoming damage. Two 10% variants exist: Dragon Thunder trades Thunder Spear speed for damage and range (pinkish-orange), while Blue Jets speeds up Electric Blitz at a higher Reiatsu cost (blue).

FAQ

How does Conductivity work?

Fighting opponents builds the Conductivity meter, which raises your skill damage and unlocks upgrade effects - including empowered flash steps at 25%+ and a 25%-meter spend that blunts big incoming damage bursts.

Which Thunderbolt variant should I want?

Both roll at 10%. Dragon Thunder makes Thunder Spear slower but harder-hitting and longer-ranged; Blue Jets makes Electric Blitz faster at a higher Reiatsu cost. Neither is strictly better - they suit different playstyles. Note that creator documentation conflicts on Dragon Thunder's damage direction - JustKenshi's own coverage and his later tier list contradict each other on whether the red spear gains or loses damage - while video sources broadly agree Blue Jets suits PvP and Dragon Thunder suits PvE.

Can The Thunderbolt survive a lethal hit?

At Reiatsu Efficiency Level 8 your lightning can restart your heart when in dire straits, allowing one extra hit before you go down.
