Arrancar Cero (Cero Tree)

verified 2026-07-16 · VV: Ultimatum skill trees

The Cero skill tree is the Hollow/Arrancar counterpart to the Shinigami Kido tree - a 400-point specialization that culminates in the Grand Rey Cero ultimate, gated behind a 82-point Bala → Cero → Cero Node → Hero chain.

Cero is the ranged-energy skill tree for Hollows and Arrancars. Its baseline abilities scale from Bala (fast, weak ranged bolt) through Cero (slower, heavy energy blast) to specialized nodes like the Hero mid-tier keystone. As with all skill trees in VV: Ultimatum, points are drawn from your Skill Points pool and stat gates depend on your Cero stat investment.

The tree's ultimate is Grand Rey Cero. Unlocking it requires 360 Cero stat AND a Hollow race - Shinigami and Quincy characters cannot use it. This parallels the Kido tree's Hado 99 which requires 360 Kido and Shinigami race, so the two ultimates are race-locked mirrors of each other.

The forced progression path is Bala → Cero → Cero Node → Hero, totaling 82 skill points before you can branch elsewhere. From there you have the remaining 318 points of a 400-point cap to spend on ancillary or hybrid nodes. Ultra/mastery-tier abilities on top of this tree drop from bosses (Junichiro is one confirmed source).

Grand Rey Cero requirements

360 points invested in the Cero stat (build stat, not the same as skill points spent inside the tree).

Hollow race - Arrancars still count as Hollow-lineage and qualify; Shinigami and Quincy do not.

Ability unlocked after both conditions are met.

How Cero relates to other trees

Cero (Hollow) mirrors Kido (Shinigami) in point cost, ultimate gate and race-lock. Quincy has its own ranged progression that is not part of either tree.

You can spec into Cero alongside other stats but the 360-point Cero investment for the ultimate eats most of a 400-total build; hybridization is punished, single-focus is rewarded.
