Capturing Eleons & Item Types

verified 2026-07-10 · Eleons mechanics

Eleons are captured using Plates - the game's equivalent of a pokeball, now documented as a full tier ladder from Normal up to Divine with 'Anti-Space' variants - supported by an item economy of evolution items, held orbs, tools, baits, key items and battle consumables.

Plates are the confirmed capture item class, and trailer footage has now revealed the ladder: creators reading the plate menu document Normal (Hexplate), Alpha, Speed, Divine, Omega and Delta Plates. Creator coverage maps them to familiar tiers - Delta as the Great Ball equivalent, Alpha as Ultra, Divine as Master and Speed as the Quick Ball analogue - a useful analogy, though the mapping is creator interpretation, not official text.

The most intriguing detail, corroborated across three separate creators reading the same menu: each plate has an 'Anti-Space' counterpart. Combined with the overworld portals shown in teaser footage, the community reads Anti-Space plates as evidence of a parallel/alternate world with its own forms - a well-supported inference that awaits official explanation.

Beyond capture, the documented item economy now spans held orbs, fishing baits, mining deployables and tools, quest-reward consumables, and a gems currency - plus the four categories community wikis compiled earlier: Plates, Evolution Items, Key Items and Ability Items. A code-redemption system also already exists in the settings menu, with zero active codes, as expected for an unreleased game.

Capture: what we know

The core loop is classic: explore the regions, weaken wild Eleons in turn-based battle, and capture them with Plates to fill out the Eleonpedia - the in-game dex tracking the roughly 330 species suggested by trailer footage. Each species has its own spawn points per the developers' descriptions, so capture is location-driven rather than fully random.

The plate tiers - Normal/Hexplate, Delta, Alpha, Speed, Divine, Omega, each with an Anti-Space variant - are all read from trailer menu footage (shown-in-video across multiple creators). What remains unconfirmed: exact catch-rate differences between tiers, whether status effects or HP thresholds affect capture, plate crafting, and what Anti-Space variants actually do. One creator prediction worth flagging as prediction only: Mythical Eleons may be encountered through hidden doors rather than wild spawns, based on a teaser door matching Puppetear's environment.

Held items, tools and baits

Held items are now documented by name from trailer box/PC screens: the Shock Orb, described in its tooltip as imbued with static essence and attempting to paralyze the Eleon holding it at the end of each turn (a self-inflicted status item in the Flame Orb tradition), and an Acid Orb seen equipped on a shiny Bastolith - both shown-in-video.

Fishing and mining feed the item economy with named gear read from teaser inventories: a magnetic drill and a golden rod as high-end tools, legendary bait, abyssal bait and a 'shiny artifact' lure on the fishing side, and a deployable mining beacon whose tooltip reads +100% mining luck for 30 minutes. Volcanic stone appears as a minable material. All of these are shown-in-video from the February 2026 gameplay teaser coverage.

Currency: gems appear throughout the teaser economy, including an NPC in the mine/market area offering 89 gems for an Eleon - shown on screen. Whether gems are the Robux-purchased premium currency is creator speculation (one early-access creator believes so and worries about gem-for-Eleon scam potential); no official monetization structure has been published.

Quests and the wider item economy

The quest menu shown in trailer footage has five categories: Story, Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Event quests. Timed quests are confirmed to reward battle consumables and evolution tools/items, per multiple creators covering the official material.

Evolution Items are confirmed as a category - certain Eleons will need them to evolve, and the Morfur family is documented in dev sneak peeks as evolving by held stone. Ability Items (move-teaching, TM-style) and Key Items (story gates) round out the known categories. Monetization beyond the scrapped battle pass (removed February 2026) remains unannounced.

FAQ

How do you catch Eleons?

With Plates, the game's capture device. Trailer footage documents a tier ladder - Normal (Hexplate), Delta, Alpha, Speed, Divine and Omega - each with an 'Anti-Space' variant. Weaken a wild Eleon in battle, then capture it to register it in your Eleonpedia.

What are Anti-Space Plates?

Unexplained officially. Each plate tier shows an Anti-Space counterpart in trailer menus (corroborated by three creators), which - together with overworld portals - the community reads as pointing to a parallel world with alternate forms.

Are there evolution items in Eleons?

Yes - Evolution Items are a confirmed category needed to evolve certain species, timed quests reward them, and dev sneak peeks show Morfur evolving by held stone.

Are there held items in Eleons?

Yes - trailer screens name the Shock Orb (tries to paralyze its own holder each turn) and an Acid Orb. Their strategic upside, like comparable self-status items in the genre, is not yet explained.

Does Eleons have codes?

A redeem-codes option exists in the settings menu, but no active codes exist because the game is unreleased. Codes will be tracked on this wiki from launch.
