Reaper

verified 2026-07-18 · Anime Expeditions enemies

Reaper is a Basic-type enemy in Anime Expeditions, forming the core wave filler across all three Spirit City Raid acts alongside Soul Footsoldier.

Reaper is one of two Basic-tier enemies that make up the bulk of every wave in Spirit City's Raid content, a city of the dead patrolled by soul reapers and their captains. It opens Act 1's wave 1 at 7x and scales up to 15x by the final wave, alongside Soul Footsoldier and that act's Elite and Boss spawns.

Because the same Reaper and Soul Footsoldier pairing repeats across all three Spirit City Raid acts, Reaper is the enemy players see the most while farming any Spirit City act, far more often than the zone's Elite or Boss spawns.

Spirit City Raid only runs on Hard difficulty, so there is no easier Normal-mode version of these waves to fall back on while gearing up.

Where Reaper Appears

Reaper appears in every wave of all three Spirit City Raid acts, opening at 7x in wave 1 and scaling up to 15x by the final wave, regardless of which boss that act ends with. All three acts only run on Hard difficulty.

Combat Role

As a Basic-type enemy, Reaper carries the lowest health and threat of any Spirit City spawn, but its sheer volume across every wave makes area-of-effect damage more valuable than single-target damage when farming Spirit City's Raid acts.
