Anvil Stat System
Stat Anvils are Expedition-only buff items, purchasable at Expedition Checkpoints, that roll one of 15 distinct stat bonuses across four rarity tiers, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and the rare Rainbow tier, with the strength of the bonus scaling directly with the rarity rolled.
Ascension System
Ascension in Anime Expeditions is a 3-level upgrade path exclusive to non-Shiny Mythic units, letting a player sacrifice duplicate copies of a unit, converted into elemental Sprites, to permanently raise that unit's Damage and Range beyond its base stat block.
Battle Pass System
The Battle Pass in Anime Expeditions runs in seasons, with the current Season 1 pass spanning 50 reward tiers split into a Free track and a Premium track, culminating in an exclusive Mythic-tier unit that comes Shiny by default for Premium owners and as a standard variant for Free track players.
Codes System
Anime Expeditions codes are redeemable text strings that grant one-time rewards ranging from Gems and Gold to Trait Crystals, Stat Rerolls, Equipment Reroll and Equipment Lock materials, and elemental Sprites, with most codes gated by an expiration window and some restricted to specific account levels or community roles.
Daily and Weekly Challenges
Anime Expeditions runs its repeatable content through a combination of a 7-day Daily login calendar and the dedicated Challenge game mode, which hosts gem-focused daily runs capped at a limited number of attempts per day alongside weekly challenge content, together forming one of the fastest early Gem income sources in the game.
Evolution System
The evolution system in Anime Expeditions transforms select units into stronger forms using a mix of elemental Sprites, Gold, and unit-specific items, and every one of the 13 currently confirmed evolutions gates its unique item behind that unit's own Unit Trial, a fixed-team boss encounter built around the unit being evolved.
Fusing System
Fusing in Anime Expeditions is a unit-feeding mechanic that converts a spare or unwanted unit into a fixed chunk of EXP for another unit's level, with the EXP payout scaled entirely by the fed unit's rarity, ranging from 500 EXP for a Rare unit up to 7,500 EXP for a Secret unit.
Gacha System
The gacha system in Anime Expeditions runs on three separate banners, Standard Banner, Mini Banner, and Beginner Banner, each with its own pity thresholds and base pull rates that range from Rare at 74.676% down to Secret at just 0.01%. Every single summon also rolls a Trait independently (75% base chance) and a Shiny variant independently (1% base chance), so a pull's rarity, trait, and shine are three separate dice rolls happening at once.
Game Modes
Anime Expeditions spreads its content across 12 distinct game modes, Story, Tower of God, Event, Challenge, Trial, Tournament, Infinite, Expedition Mode, Villain Invasion, Raid, Mastery, and Sandbox, each with its own matchmaking rules, progression requirements, and reward structure.
Guild System
Guilds in Anime Expeditions are player-run groups unlockable at account level 10, with creation available at level 20 for a 10,000 Gold fee, offering a 10-level guild progression track, member slots that grow with guild level, and a three-tier role structure of Member, Officer, and Owner.
Shiny System
Shiny units in Anime Expeditions have a 1% base chance to appear on any summon or eligible stage drop, and the permanent Shiny Hunter gamepass is the only way to directly raise that chance, boosting both summon Shiny odds and stage drop Shiny odds by 200% each, while Luck Potion boosts pull rarity instead and explicitly does not touch Shiny odds.
Starting Tutorial and Onboarding
New accounts in Anime Expeditions are guided through a contextual tutorial sequence covering unit placement, equipment, evolution, ascension, crafting, trait rerolling, stat potential, and Expedition Mode basics, paired with an early quest chapter that steers players toward 10 guaranteed summons, a full clear of Map 1's first five acts, and Beginner Banner as the fastest path to a first strong Mythic unit.
Stat Potential System
Stat Potential in Anime Expeditions is a 14-grade letter system, running from the near-mythical Z grade down to F, that rolls independently on a unit's Damage, Range, and SPA (Speed Per Attack) whenever a Stat Reroll is spent, meaning every unit carries three separate potential grades rather than one overall score.
Status Effects
Anime Expeditions runs on a shared set of status effects, including damage-over-time effects like Bleed and Burn, hard crowd control like Stun and Freeze, soft crowd control like Slow and Dismember, and character-specific marks tied to individual units, all built from the same underlying tag system that governs stacking, duration, and crowd-control lockouts.
Trait System
Traits in Anime Expeditions are unit modifiers rolled with a Trait Crystal, spanning Rare, Legendary, and Mythic rarity tiers across 17 known traits, with the four Mythic traits, Primordial, Forsaken, Draconic, and Unbound, each carrying their own dedicated pity counter separate from the gacha system's rarity pity.
