Odachi / Longsword
The Odachi is described in community documentation as the sword's longer sibling: the same fast, familiar handling, but with reach extended to very long range at the cost of slightly lower numbers - 12.6 damage and 12.6 posture damage per hit versus the katana's 13/13.
Where it clearly beats the standard katana is on-hit stun: the Odachi's attack stun is rated Long (the katana's is Short), so landed hits buy noticeably more follow-up time. Combined with fast attack speed and very long range, that makes it a strong spacing weapon - you poke from outside most weapons' reach and get generous frames to continue pressure when a hit connects. Its critical can be used as a riposte after a parry and recharges every 8.25 seconds.
Community documentation captures an Evolved Critical variant for the weapon along with Soul Reaper skins, and its attack footage is captured on a Quincy character - the weapon carries no faction tag, so no faction restriction is documented.

FAQ
How does the Odachi differ from the Katana?
It trades a little damage (12.6 vs 13 on both damage and posture) for much better reach (Very Long vs Average range) and a longer stun on hit (Long vs Short).
Can the Odachi riposte after a parry?
Yes - its critical is riposte-capable, on an 8.25-second cooldown.
Is the Odachi faction-locked?
No faction tag is documented; community documentation shows both Soul Reaper skins and footage on a Quincy character.
