VV: Ultimatum Act 1 Roadmap Explained - All 5 Chapters (Bankai, Visored, Hollow King)

verified · updated 2026-07-10 · VV: Ultimatum

Around June 16, 2026, developer Artemis posted VV: Ultimatum's first public roadmap in the game's main Discord: 'Act 1', split into five chapters. Because the original lives in Discord rather than on a public board, this page reconstructs it from video documentation, July 2026 - creators who screenshotted and read the post on camera.

Read the labels carefully. Everything here is relayed by content creators from the official Discord post; the chapter contents beyond the visible text ('base building', 'game modes', 'Visored') are creator interpretation of teaser images; and the developers attached no dates whatsoever. As one creator put it on the record: 'nothing here is confirmed, I'm not a tester.' What HAS shipped is marked chapter by chapter.

Chapter 1 - new abilities + base building (partially shipped as Update 1)

The first chapter showed the three new abilities that became Update 1 on June 20: Praying Mantis (Arrancar Resurreccion), The Iron (Quincy Schrift) and the Demon's Light Shikai - all live in-game (see the update history: /wikis/vv-ultimatum/guides/updates-history/).

The second half of the panel carried visible 'base building' text with a castle-and-hammer image, widely read by creators as clan/organization guild bases in the style of Deepwoken or Cursed Gear - a customizable guild hall that could tie into invasion game modes. Per creator roadmap coverage, base building had NOT shipped as of Update 2; note that some written patch archives credit Update 1 with organization bases, a conflict we keep attributed rather than resolved. Organizations themselves already exist as the faction-conversion guild system (/wikis/vv-ultimatum/systems/organizations/).

Chapter 2 - 'Game Modes' (partially shipped as Update 2)

Chapter 2's panel read 'Game Modes' and showed opposing banners - suggesting organization-versus-organization PvP - alongside a dungeon-like PvE image. In practice, Update 2 (July 4) shipped only casual 1v1 matchmaking with no Elo and generic loot. Multiple creators believe the organization wars piece was cut or delayed, and the in-game changelog itself calls the matchmaking system unfinished: 'more to come soon.'

Chapter 3 - Bankai, Segunda Etapa, Vollstandig (not in game)

The chapter creators care about most: the poster shows Bankai, a full Resurreccion (Segunda) and Vollstandig with faction symbols and a '2' marking second-release modes. As of Update 2, none of the three are in the game - our dedicated status tracker covers this in depth and gets updated when it changes: /wikis/vv-ultimatum/guides/bankai-status/.

Two labeled claims around this chapter: Builderboy claims Bankai, Segunda and Vollstandig already exist internally in some form, citing older dev leaks 'from back in the day' - an unverified creator claim. And Dracorin expects Update 3 to be the Bankai update, matching this chapter's position in the sequence - creator opinion, not an announcement. Creator speculation adds that since current Shikai/Res/Schrift mostly share movesets between base and mode, second modes may bring per-element new movesets and visuals.

Chapter 4 - race evolutions: Visored, soul-split, Cybernetics (or Shunko)

Chapter 4 teased race evolutions or variants, one per faction. The Soul Reaper image is a Visored mask with faint but legible 'Visored' text - the one readable word on the panel - though some creators read the image as Shunko (Yoruichi-style lightning circles) instead. The Arrancar image shows linked souls, read as Stark/Lilynette-style soul-split speculation. The Quincy image shows a medallion, read as 'Cybernetics'. Beyond the 'Visored' text, all of this is interpretation of teaser art.

Chapter 5 - the '?' chapter and 'HWION'

The final chapter is marked with a large question mark. Its image - a tent and campfire - has been read as expeditions or a new Hueco Mundo area. Small text on the panel was read by creators as 'H W I O N' and interpreted as the Hollow King's name; the Hollow King appears chained in the game's main key art. This is the most speculative chapter of the five: treat both the 'HWION' reading and the Hollow King connection as unconfirmed.

What 'Act 1' implies - and what it doesn't

The roadmap being labeled 'Act 1' implies more acts are planned after these five chapters - that inference is the creators', but it is a natural one. What the roadmap does not contain: any time frames. Creators hoped for weekly or bi-weekly chapters and warned that the declining player count makes long gaps risky (opinion). The pattern so far: roadmap around June 16, Chapter 1 as Update 1 on June 20, Chapter 2 as Update 2 on July 4.

Sourcing reminder: announcements, polls and sneak peeks land in the official Discord (discord.gg/vvgame) first. Creators consistently report the developers read community feedback - a Visionary-element poll ran in the Discord days before Update 2 - so the remaining chapters may shift with that feedback.

Community notes (Discord)

A starboard community reading of the roadmap (June 2026) interpreted Chapter 4 as submodes (Visored, Shunko) and noted guild base building and clan wars appear on the roadmap before Bankai, Segunda and Vollstandig - a sequencing the community criticized. Labels on the original post were unclear, so this is one reader's interpretation.

FAQ

Is the Act 1 roadmap official?

Yes - developer Artemis posted it in the game's official Discord around June 16, 2026. But this page reconstructs it from creator videos, the chapter contents beyond the visible text are creator interpretation of teaser images, and no chapter has a date.

Is Bankai on the roadmap?

Yes - Chapter 3 shows Bankai alongside Segunda Etapa and Vollstandig as second-release modes. None of the three are in the game as of Update 2 (July 4, 2026); see our Bankai status tracker for what is and is not implemented.

What is HWION?

Small text on the Chapter 5 teaser that creators read as 'H W I O N' and interpret as the Hollow King's name - the figure chained in the game's key art. Both the reading and the interpretation are unconfirmed.

Did base building from Chapter 1 ever ship?

Not as of Update 2, per creator roadmap coverage - though some written patch archives credit Update 1 with organization bases. The reports conflict, so we keep both attributed until in-game verification.
