Duskborn
Legendary (2.5%)Duskborn is the caster's race. Deep Well adds +6% Magic Strength and +6% Ether at all times, Ancient Blood adds +10% Critical Strength, and the signature Moon's Mercy trait grants +20% Magic Strength with surging Ether regeneration at night - one of the strongest conditional buffs documented in the game so far.
The night cycle matters for planning: a Duskborn mage hits significantly harder after dark, which rewards timing tough fights and boss attempts to the in-game night. During the day the race still keeps its flat magic and crit bonuses.
Like the other elf-lineage race (Druid), Duskborn pays for its magic with physical weakness: Frail Lineage reduces Weapon Strength and Fighting Strength by 5% each, so pure melee builds waste the race's identity.

FAQ
How rare is Duskborn?
Duskborn is Legendary rarity with a 2.5% roll chance - roughly one roll in forty. The launch build lowered this from the pre-release 5%, making it noticeably rarer than early captures suggested.
Is Duskborn better than Druid for mages?
They compete for the same niche. Druid gives steady sustain and a forest-conditional bonus; Duskborn trades sustain for burst - higher Critical Strength and a large night-time magic spike. For boss burst windows at night, Duskborn is the stronger documented option; for all-day consistency in forests, Druid.
Does Moon's Mercy work indoors or in dungeons?
The in-game description says 'at night' without qualifiers, tying the buff to the day/night cycle. Whether fully enclosed interiors count is still being verified on the live build.
